I am trying to grow Hibiscus from seed without any luck. I have purchased the seed but they will not germinate. Can you help

It is Hibiscus Syriacus the type that can be grown in the UK. I am trying to grow indoors (conservatory) at present. The seeds have been planted circa 12 days.

Which sort of Hibiscus do you mean, Paul? The large shrubby garden type or the showy sub tropical ones?
