I have been thinking of growing a Chamomile lawn. I did try many years ago, without success. Everything died on me within the first year. I brought several established plants in containers at quite a cost, only to lose them. Now I am ready to give it another go after the shed is removed & replaced with a summer house. Perhaps not this year as health & cash limit my work output. So, ground preparation & a question of plant or seed. Any ideas would be welcome.

Thank you for that. I doubt I shall try for this year now, so I have put an entry into my calendar for next year's jobbing list.

Interesting that,. I have been looking around & as an idea after reading various threads/blogs etc. on various web-sites, mixing the Chamomile with Mint & perhaps Thyme. I am not yet ready to make a start on this as there is a lot to do before getting to that stage, so a little research first could save me time /money effort.

Best planted as small "plugs" rather than from large container grown plants. They like free drained soil in full sun. The plugs (small plants) can be spaced equidistantly from each other to cover the required area roughly 6-10 inches apart. They fill in quite quickly. 'Treneague' is the best form if you don't want any flowers.
