I have a large Bay Tree in the garden in a pot, it's five feet tall with a large ball at the top , the leaves are starting to curl up and are filled wih a blue residue similar to washing powder, any sugestions on how to overcome this?

Blue residue like washing powder? Doesn't ring any bells I'm afraid, any chance of a photograph?
