The petunias in my pots have been wonderful, but are starting to look long and leggy. Someone suggested cutting them back to encourage them to bush up a bit, I'm a bit nervous to try it. What do you suggest?

You will probably also need to feed them some Growmore or suchlike, if you aren't already.

Thank-you for the prompt reply.
I have been growing them in pots for years, but had no idea I should trim them
back. They are looking decidedly bedraggled after todays storms. So hopefully they will perk up.
Yes I do feed them so will continue to do so.

Welcome Anne never be afraid to ask questions as others get the benefit of the replies too.lol I have just spent a very windy 30 mins deadheading my Petunias to help them carry on flowering and then I will cut them back too when they get too leggy.

Go for it,they will make new growth and flowers, and should continue for a long
