what is this plant

found in shady woodland, purplish leaves, now has yellow flower(july/august) 5 petals, also thrives in sun. about 2ft tall, thin not bushy. may spead slighty, keeps leaves all year.

Looks like lysimachia to me too!... it's a spreader...I have some in my garden that belongs to the neighbours..it travels..pretty plant looks good with monarda.
