I have a Jasmine Beesianum bought From Morrisons 2 and a half years ago i want to know how to prune it there is at least 15 thin stems on it 2feet high all green please help

Thanks for your advice,I have various Jasmines all growing well, This one is now going into a large container, against an east/south facing wall,I have cut the stems down to eight healthy ones.

I've got one of those, it has small pinky-red flowers. It was twined around a laurel that has just been cut down, so is now just 2-3 stems cut off at waist height - don't know if it will survive! I don't think they normally require any pruning - is it in the way?
