love your garden, with Alan Tichmarsh. Did anyone see this tonight - Japanese style garden.
I quite liked what they did but wish they had explained how they got rid of the quagmire - with that much mud, even if it had been raining, I can't see that putting down paving and artificial turf would remove the underlying problem.
Left me thinking that it was raising unrealistic expectations in people facing the same problem.

I haven't seen the program but I think I know what you're getting at urbanite. Too often I have seen garden rehab shows on tv or articles in magazines and the results that are achieved and shown are awesome. But are they? What do these great accomplishments look like when one comes back months later when all this pristine stuff settles in a bit. Now, that is a show one is not likely to see.
