I have had my pittosporum tobira two years but it has never flowered any idea why.

Excess nitrogen in the soil can cause excessive vegetative growth on plants at the expense of flower bud development. It is best to avoid fertilizing late in the growing season. Do you think you may have done this? Can you give us more information about your care and growing conditions?

Have you pruned them, could you have inadvertantly stopped their formation ?
I think aswell with this pittosporum, it doesn't flower as freely as the hardier types - which 'here' in Somerset they (hardier) flower every year.

I wouldn't worry about it anyway, the flowers aren't particularly spectacular, though usually they're slightly fragrant, but they're tiny and often unnoticeable.

I agree Bamboo, you have to peer at them to see them !!!

Definately not spectacular Dgt, sadly :-(

Some of the newer forms of dwarf tobira bloom only rarely, also. For flowers--which smell nice, even if they are inconspicuous--get the old tall kind.
