can oxidalis be left in the ground over winter

Answers

Do you mean Oxalis? It depends on the variety - some oxalis are so tough as to become problem plants as they spread too much and are very difficult to remove, others are not very hardy in my experience. I have one with dark purple leaves (almost black) and white flowers which I lost most of during the last winter, found a small bit that survived.

As Beattie says it depends on the oxalis. Some of ours are in the garden others in pots in our cool greenhouse.
