what depth should you have for raised beds for to growing vegetables

Answers

If you have soil beneath the raised bed for the roots of the vegetables to go down into, anything from about four inches upwards is suitable.
If the ground below the beds is impermeable , heavy clay or something, then I would suggest you need at least a foot of height.
A raised bed can be higher than this, up to a comfortable working height remebring that you have to be able to reach the middle comfortably.
