Potatoes?
Need advice on growing please
I have 3 varieties which are Charlotte, Duke of York and Maris Piper.
I am going to grow them in large containers.
What i would like to know is where to store them until planting?.
I have them in a cool dark place and all are sprouting, the Maris Piper vigorously.
The advice on the bag says a cool light place?
Also the instructions say don't plant in soil that has been manured for less than a year?
I was going to use a mixture of well rotted manure and top soil?
Any advice from potatoe growers in containers will be well appreciated!
Thanks

Take a look at this allotment website. I find his information very good. If you have time to look through his previous months especially October and watch his videos of how many potatoes he's got from his tubs.

Agree, plant them now. They should have been set out in a cool light place to chit, in the dark they produce long weak shoots which break off when you plant them. But don't worry, they will produce more shoots.
