PASSIFLORA. Please may I ask for advice. Last year I bought a 1 metre tall Passiflora to put alongside my arch. I have to rely on others for planting etc at the moment due to ill-health. I was horrified to see that within a day or two slugs had stripped all the leaves except one or two at the top. Those few leaves are still alive and well but have not had the weather yet to increase as it's in an exposed spot. It looks a bit silly being a spindly bald stalk and a few small top leaves. Could I prune this back to about 12" tall? It is a very spindly looking stalk. Thank you.

Thank you Bamboo. I shall cut it back without being too frightened now.

Next question
Yes, cut it right back, it'll grow again, and put something down to control the slugs/snails.
