Hi everyone, what would you guys/girls suggest that I put in my garden that would greet me with a lovely fragrance in the Summer evenings?
I would love the wife & I to open our back door and sit with a glass of wine and enjoy some beautiful fragrances.
My soil is a little on the clay side.

there is also a night scented phlox, it is an annual too.
heliotrope is another one that springs to mind as well as honeysuckle.

I thought honeysuckle too. Beware heliotrope if you have a dog though as it is poisonous to them.

Try a BBQ. there's nothing nicer than a whiff of cooking steak over charcoal. And you could always tip the spent coals into the clay soil ;o)

that is one smell that I don't appreciate: I love meat but not bbq. it pervades everything.

Thanks folks. Myron BBQ is out of the question, I'm fat & ugly enough already.

Made me laugh Myron, but I'm with you there Seaburngirl - it doesn't smell of meat by the time it drifts over to us, more of a mixture of some sort of spirit and burned fat. Its intrusive, like a neighbour's pop music. I hate it.

Night-scented stock is an easy annual to grow from seed sown now, and smells heavenly.
