Planting Skip Laurels How ?

Hi, welcome to GoY, do you mean Prunus laurocerasus 'Schipkaensis' ?, if so just dig a hole twice the depth and width of the rootball, fork over the bottom of the hole, and put in some well rotted manure, mix the excavated soil with some fish, blood and bone fertilizer, then backfill the hole, firming the soil down, until the hole is the same depth as the rootball, place the plant into the hole, continue backfilling and firming the soil until you reach the top of the rootball, give it a good watering, [at least 1 full watering can] let the water drain away, and top up the hole if the soil has settled, keep the soil moist for the first year or so, until the plant is established, then it should only need watering if you get a prolonged dry spell.
If your soil is chalky, these can become a bit chlorotic, in which case give it an acidic feed in spring, Derek.
