Something is eating the leaves on my calla lily. Not one or two leaves, but all of them. Have found no beetles, but I'll keep my eye out. What I DID find today on the back side of a leaf was something that looked like a white cocoon. Is that what's eating the leaves? If so, does anyone know how to handle this critter?

I also say slugs as they love them but the cocoon can either be a caterpillar or spiders eggs. I would hazard caterpillar and they are part of what is eating the leaves.

What a quick response! Thank you, Badfish, Moon Growe, and Botanic! I put a sunken bowl with beer beside a nearby plant that I thought was being eaten by slugs and I only got one slug. I'll try another bowl right beside my calla lily. Wish me luck!
