I have recently purchased a Forsythia and a Flowering Currant (Ribes), Can I use the same fertilizer on them both and what is the best one to use. Thankyou

Depends on the shade of the currant though...I rather like them near each other but perhaps I never grew up...

Both grow well without the use of fertiliser, but if you feel the need, a Growmore type would be fine, or a mulch of garden compost. I wouldn't advise placing them next to each other, the colours look horrible together (only my opinion, of course!)
