Hello, I am looking to replace a number of Japanese Anemones which have gradually taken over areas of my garden and are proving difficult to tame. I am looking to replace them with plants of similar size which flower in late summer. I love the flowers, size and the fact it is looks after itself, just can't cope with the spreading aspect.
Yours in anticipation.

Are they the rampant pink ones? I've found that the white one Honorine Jobert is well behaved. Tall asters, Rudbeckias, Chrysanthemums all flower quite late.

You'll be lucky I have been putting weedkiller on a set of Anemone for nearly 6 years now, every time a leaf shows it gets zapped. And still they grow.
