Annoyingly, its quite difficult to find any useful info on this, but I've at last managed to establish that it seems to be a cultivar from H. androsaemum - not sure whether its as hardy as its parent, but tolerates a fair bit of shade and relatively dry conditions (though not as dry as we've had recently, it'll need watering) but you should water well when you first plant it and continue to do so until autumn.
