So sad to see the new shoots on my 9 year old Sambucus "black lace" have suddenly drooped and looking dead!!! Does anyone know what could possibly be the problem?

We've had really whiteover frost, strong drying winds, bright sun and little rain so i agree with Badfish
hopefully it will send out more new leaves.....

Could be frost and/or dryness. They're usually hard as nails....take a tiny slither of bark off with your thumb nail and see if it's green underneath....chances are, it might come back
