my corderline which I took from a fallen corderline a few years ago is about 4foot hight and is growing a strong stem with assume are flowers coming out of the middle although the normal shoots are still coming up as well what do I do with them do they form new corderline

I sowed the seeds from mine, i didn't wait until spring but put them in pots in a cold greenhouse.....i got about a dozen at least!.....such fun....

Hi Sue, having just re-read this, I think you may be right, I just read strong stem, and what was assumed to be flowers coming out of the middle, which is where the flower stem would appear, but it could mean the middle of the 'trunk' and not the leaves, so we need confirmation, Derek.

Hi, welcome to GoY, I assume you're aking about Cordyline australis, the flowers are usually produced on mature trees, so if yours is producing a flower stem you're lucky, if it is a flower stem, it won't produce another Cordyline, what it may produce, after the flowers, are white or blue tinted berries, which may contain seed, which you can sow in spring next year at 61f, Derek.
