what is a perennial and a anual plant

Answers

A perennial lives from year to year. A shrub, tree and many species of herbaceous plants come up year after year.

An annual is a single year plant ie it grows, flowers and dies in one year.

Many plants, including lots of bedding plants are grown as annuals but will continue the following year or two if over wintered out of frost.
