Does anyone know what these clusters that look like they have eggs are?

Looks like a fungus of some sort - possibly a hyphoderma, perhaps Hyophoderma radula?

Sure its not a collection of conkers or other large seeds which are now rotting down?

No, but it sure looks like fungi.

Yea, not saying there isn't fungi present, but it would appear on old, ungerminated conkers... I wasn't criticising your answer anyway, I was really asking the person who posted the question. I reckon they should go out with gloves on and try picking some of it up...

I hope the questioner comes back to us anyway - it looks very interesting whatever it is...

My dad said it's a fungus and pulled it out of the pots. I thought it was insect eggs. He said I'm over watering.

Thank you Moni. Its always appreciated when a questioner comes back like that - so many don't bother.
