I have 2 small obelisks about 4 foot in height. For years I've done nothing with them because I cant think of a suitable plant to grow up. Originally used them for sweet peas but they were too tall. Anyone any suggestions as to what I might grow up them?

I grow clematis up my 5ft ones. One I have near a fence and it carries on along the fence the other one is in a flower bed and I just let that one spill over when it gets to the top. I think the secret to success is training them around the obelisk and not letting the plant grow straight up.
If you want a plant that can be trimmed you could try a variagated Ivy.
