sycamore roots

There are 2 sycamore trees growing approx 10 feet from my house and they are now about 20 feet high, do I need to be concerned about the effect they are having on the foundations of my property?

I would seek the advice of a reputable tree surgeon. I have read plenty of times that trees should not be planted within 15mtrs from a building. This is obviously to do with root growth over the coming 80 years or so.
One of my books says "large trees such as Oak, Ash , Lime, Plane, Beech and Sycamore should not be planted close to new or small houses."
To be on the safe side find the ultimate height and plant it at least one and a half times this distance away from the building.
My other book says they grow to 100ft (30 mtrs). Makes a fine tree and is good for an exposed position.
I hope this helps.
