So now the daffodil season is over & I've dead headed the seed pods. What is the next step? May has not seen leaves bake in the sun like April so will next years crop be poor? I guess a feed of bone meal is on the cards? Any ideas welcome. I have some in the lawn & chopped one yesterday....ouch!

My daffs are fine without me. They take care of themselves. You may want to divide if the patch gets too big and compact.

Remember to let the foliage die back naturally only really need feeding if they are in a pot.

Thanks Moongrower.
I am really enjoying my Lewisii flowering
plants this year, draining well in the planter turned on its side with the soil padded up with bits of flat stone. Your recommend. Will look for some different colours and plant up the other one.
I didnt know before about them not liking the rain.
(Well I wouldnt like it on my face for hours on end. Ha ha.)

Many of my daffs in the ground were blind this year which I put down to the dry spring last year. I don't normally feed them as there are hundreds but have this spring as they were so disappointing. Its worth a bottle of tomato fertiiser if you want to do your best for them.
