I am planning (already) for next year, and have in mind an area of garden which is dry most of the time, which I would like to grow Yucca Filamentosa, but not just one "crown" do they readily produce new crowns or would I have to buy more than one plant. Thank You Di

They do produce offsets, but you may not get any for a few years, or you may get more than one within 3 years, its hard to say, and it depends how quickly they grow on and form roots as to whether you can sever them from the parent soon or not. To be sure, buy what you need in the first place.

Putting about 1/4 cup of rose food in the bottom of the planting hole and scratching it in will help the rosettes to multiply rapidly, but be careful not to get too much!

Thank you Bamboo and Tugbrethil, I wasn't sure how vigorous they were, grateful for your advice.
