I have two lilac bushes, that are about 8-10 years old, and about 7 feet high. Both of them look like they are dying. Only part (very little)of them have come back with leaves and some lilacs. Any advice what do to? or what could be wrong.

More info required - did you have an unusually cold or wet winter? What part of the States are you in? Have you inspected the plants from top to bottom, and side to side for evidence of pests, disease or fungal infection? What variety of lilac are they, and do you prune - if so, when? Can you provide a photograph?
