I have just planted a brown Cordyline Palm tree. It is mature and came from my next door neighbour. I wasnt sure if it would survive the transition, but it has. It has been in it´s new spot for the past 8 weeks now. I have taken off all the old palm leaves and old dead stubbs. My question: The newish leaves are dieing quickly and are drooping quickly. Is there any remedy for this? The tree is still obviously still alive and kicking, but I would like to see healthier foliage. Kindest regards, Paul

Water, water and more water - until it puts out new roots to replace those its lost, and any existing roots grow into the surrounding soil properly, you need to keep it well supplied with water.

Thank you, for your reply. It hasnt rained much since the transition. So that could be the answer. It chucked it down today, so hopefully, that was a good soaking for it. I´ll keep it drenched from now on. I did break off part of the trunk below the root system too, so it probably needs to re grow those roots. Again many thanks.

It may just be transplantation shock. Less roots to transport water and nutrients to the leaves. I would water in lots of general feed to help.
