Do anybody know where I can purchase a clematis named Algar or Elgar which ever way it is spelt.I saw and heard about it on Gardeners World date 8 May . I have checked garden centres and clematis growers no joy. Any info appreciated thank you

It's new for this year so might only be available from one or two suppliers and will be relatively expensive.

Are you sure they weren't saying Clematis alba? There's one called C. alba luxurians, freely available on the internet, probably in garden centres once its in flower.
