My rosa Goldfinch is just about to flower for the first time - masses of flowers but it is now being ruined by mildew and rust and I fear the flowers won't open :(

Oh dear Izzy. Try spraying with fungicide as soon a s it comes into growth, but if its that susceptible to be honest you'd be better off without it. It will only break your heart on an annual basis! There are healthier roses to grow!
