Just bought some Paeonia Lactiflora plants. When is the right time and position to plant these?

And don't plant them too deeply or you won't get any flowers. The resting growth bud (when all the top growth has died off) needs to be at soil level.

Thanks guys... These are still root stock (tubers?)...
It does feel like autumn today but I may just wait a bit. Thanks again.

Autumn, but if they are good big plants then you can plant now. Just remember to keep them watered until they are settled in. They like an open position is sun or light shade in rich well draining soil.
