I have to move a flowering Rhododendron next week for a new driveway to be laid, what advice for the new position?

Answers

Part shade part sun, acid soil, dig the area beforehand to prepare, make the planting hole the same size and shape as the rootball of the plant, including accommodating any roots sticking out at right angles without bending them to fit them into the new hole. This is a bad time to make this kind of move, so water the plant well before moving, and thoroughly in its new position, and keep it watered on a regular basis until autumn.
