salvia involucrata what causes "flopping" these dont like any kind of wind it can be a frustrating plant as they snap easily and this seems like a broken stem but stem at the base appers strong at the base and up the stem

No idea but I'd remove the whole of the wilted part asap in case it is something that might spread.
