Are Berberis sucsessful in containers

I haven't tried, nor have I seen any, Ieuan, but there is a dwarf form (Berberis darwinii 'Compacta') so that might be successful. Welcome to GOY.

There are so many varieties yo need to say which one. Compacta (above) probably, the big ones only for a season or two.
