We have an unidentifiable tree in the garden. It flowers like Blackthorn early in the year - with white blossoms and produces bright green fruits like small plums from late June onwards. Any idea what it is?

A photo would help. You say it's like blackthorn - it's possible that that is what it is? Or it could be some other form of wild plum. In my experience they often produce huge amounts of horribly inedible green plumlets.

Perhaps its a Greengage? But we really need a pic?
