Hmm, its surprising what a difference trying to ID something when its upside down makes... and is it in flower now? Because I think its Deutzia scabra, but it's somewhat late for it to be in flower - its usually May/June rather than now. I guess if you're up north somewhere, that might explain the later flowering time.

Our D. scabra always flowers in July.

This dosn't appear upside down on my iPad. I am on the NE coast near Hornsea.The flowers are dying off now as I took this photo last week. Thanks for the help.

iPad's are notorious on this site for images appearing upside down... okay if you have a laptop but not otherwise.

IPad, IPhone, pictures from either may appear here sideways on or upside down or, just occasionally, the right way up. My son tells me there is something you can do on the pad or phone before sending to make sure its the right way up, but I've no idea what, I don't have either of those bits of kit, my stuff's all Android or Windows.
