Hi Jim again if strawberries only fruit for a short while what do I now do with the plants? ie let them die off or do I keep tending their needs they are planted in raised troughs thanks Jim

Hi Jim, strawberry plants will last for years if treated right. Keep tending them and they will come back again next year.
I generally keep my plants for three to four years before replacing them with plants I have grown on from the runners.
