Why does my cucumber plant have loads of flower and no fruit?

Cucumbers bear both male and female flowers, and it sounds as if your plant has so far only produced males, and these don't bear the fruit. Male and female flowers are different, so check to see what you've got.
If that isn't the problem, it could be that there's no pollination going on, ie. bees and other pollinators aren't finding the plant.

Look for the female flowers. They are attached to a teeny tiny cucumber, the male flowers grow straight off the vine. Hand pollinate the female flowers with a small paintbrush or cotton swab. Move pollen from the male to the female flowers with the small brush. It's best done early in the morning with freshly opened flowers so it has all day long to process the pollen and make cucumbers.

This funny summer marrows have been producing just male flowers, so probably cucumbers are the same - but female ones should be appearing by now.
However you can dip the male flowers in batter and deep fry them if you like - never tried it but it is done.
