Is there any cure for BASAL CANKER around the trunk of a Japanese Coral Bark Maple? One side of tree has yellowing leaves and the bark at the base of the tree is dead and detached from the trunk. Last year I lost the Matching tree across the driveway...I thought it was an insufficient water program...but now that I see this tree...it might be a bark fungus....DOES ANYONE KNOW???
