I bought a white frangrance rose as a small wooden looking plant which has now grown a huge amount and has healthy green foliage, I doubt it wil flower this year as I guess it would have shown signs by now. Will it be established wnough next year to start flowering or will it need at least another year before it thinks about flowering? It does look like it is putting all its energy in to growing tall and producing nice green leaves.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

No reason why you shouldn't get a few flowers this year, and certainly next year, but you don't say what kind of rose it is - if you've bought a rambler, for instance, they just give one flush of flowers, usually around June, and then none till the following year, whereas other kinds of roses are repeat flowering.
