This year most of the vegetable seeds I have grown in compost have wilted and died when they are about an inch high. I use miracle gro all purpose compost, and the seeds were set in my greenhouse. The problem did not effect the flower seeds. Can anyone suggest what the problem might be.

When you are starting off seeds you need to use a 'seed compost' which is a leaner mixture than all purpose compost. The soil was literally to rich for the seeds and therefore they died.
