I bought a Hollys Beauty Fuschia...as you can see from the photo, there are what looks like little fruits hanging from it.At first I thought they were buds but there is another flower bud, just opening now,so does not appear to be so.
Can anyone enlighten me please.

I remove those pods as I think it puts more energy into making more flower buds.

I remove the pods too,and my Fuchsias are still producing new flower buds,on all varieties..Your Holly's Beauty should overwinter undercover,if you so wish,Solada..somewhere frost free, will be fine..on a cool window sill perhaps ?

Bloomer, reply went before I had finished...yes,I thought to bring it inside over winter have a nice window ledge in the hall. However,I have seen bushes of fuschias in garden...these cannot be protected from frost,is it because they are mature?

The ones you see outside in winter are hardy varieties,Solada..and your's isn't.It would die if you left it out.If you want one to grow one outside, you would have to check the label first..and even then, they benefit from a good mulch around the roots,to protect in case of severe weather..

Thank you very much Bloomer, shall certainly bring inside over winter,it is really beautiful, would not like it to die.I also have a Whitney(pink-violet) Fuschia, would that also need to be brought in during wintertime too?

I haven't heard of Whitney Fuchsia,Solada, but if you google it,you will see if it's a hardy one or not..Your Holly's Beauty will probably lose all it's foliage, ,so don't worry if it does,as it will be it's dormant period..just keep it ticking over to stop it drying out,but don't feed..Trim any unwanted stems in spring, and water well,to encourage new growth. It's also a good time to repot in new compost, and a bigger pot,if it has outgrown it's present one...plant out after last frosts..hope this helps..:o)
