As most of you will realise Im fairly new to this. I have taken cuttings from mock orange bushes about 4 weeks ago did as said put in horticultural sand, well watered then into white plastic bag filled with air and closed the top, now checked and they are all still nice and green, how will I know or how long will they take to root/need potting on into compost and would they be better placed into the poly tunnel over winter any advice please

I keep them frost free for the winter then wait with bated breath for leaves to emerge........like Seaburn not all take which is why I take as many as possible

are there any signs of any roots showing? when you can see roots that is the time to gentle pot them up so the roots don't get too damaged. I've always just put them straight into compost as a cutting. they don't all take but enough for my needs.
