What's the best time to transplant hostas, pieris japonica and photinia from one border to another?

And definitely not now!

Thankyou very much, Bamboo and Moongrower, for your replies. I'm a novice gardener and these plants were gifts from close relatives so I want to look after them (plants and rellies!) properly. However, the border I've put them in was already quite full and these plants need more room to themselves. Colmoscopy.

They will be much happier if you wait two or three months to move, plants do not like to be disturbed in summer.

YOu can do it in late September I should think, where you live, Colmoscopy (I'm having trouble with your name, keeps reminding me of that colonoscopy I had back in April...)
