could anybody please tell me the plant in the picture (umbrella plant) can be planted in the garden and which conditions need?

I don't think it's hardy enough to plant out in the garden. You might get away with giving it a holiday in the garden during the summer. It's not what I know as an umbrella plant, I think... so far as I can see.

I think the picture now is much clear, regarding the name , I found it today at Homebase, but it has been written on the label that it should be kept in worm room!!

All sources seem to agree that it's a houseplant only. It wants a bright room but doesn't like direct strong sunlight.

Used to be called Heptapleurum, now Schefflera and I can tell you from experience it won't tolerate being outside, unless you just stand it in a shady area for a month in the middle of summer when its warm. It can't cope with direct sun, it burns, and its tender, won't tolerate anything close to frost, so it's a houseplant. And yours needs a bigger pot...
