Looks like the berries of Sorbus Kamchatka we have in the garden and they look exactly alike these.

Yes, definitely a Sorbus, although there are a few with white berries. A photo of a leaf would be useful but they are notoriously hard to ID.

Sorbus, Rowan, have various coloured fruits - red, orange, pink and white.

Than you very much folks! I had a feeling it was Sorbus of some description but a friend had said it was Lychee!!! I wasn't prepared to taste it :-)
