Poorly Camellia

My favourite Camellia normally has green glossy leaves but this year about half of them have developed brown marks (see photo). I would be interested to know if this is caused by a pest or a disease and, of course what to do about it!

Watched a TV programme about this sort of thing. They said it was virus disease and one should cut off all the affected bramches. I have some areas where the mottling is yellow not brown so I keep cutting it off. The problem is if a lot of your plant is affected.
