What does a Copper Cherry Tree look like, does it bare cherries, how tall do they grow, are the roots invasive?

Did you mean Copperbark Cherry (Prunus serrula), or Copper Cherry Plum (Prunus blireana)? Easier to answer if we have a few specifics. Then again, it may be obvious to someone from the UK!

This is weird, MG. I've had several posts that showed up after I submitted as normal, then on second viewing, someone else's post was inserted before mine! How does that work?

So far as I know there is no such tree as a Copper Cherry. There is a Copper Cherry Plum, Copper Beech and various cherry trees.
