ant infestation

We have a severe ant infestation in the garden. There are over a hundred ant mounds making it impossible to sit in the garden. What can we do? Any suggesstions would be gratefully received as we cannot use our garden. The ants are both black and red.

You poor things! I usually recommend Ant traps from DIY shops or Garden Centres when people have ants that are a nuisance. In your case, it might be a bit expensive. Might be worth trying in some areas, though. Good luck!
