I would like to collect the seed from some of my hardy Geraniums, do you remove the seed heads as soon as the flowers fade and then dry them?

No leave the seed pods to dry on the plant and collect when they are ripe.

Watch out for the first ones splitting and then harvest the rest.

You'll know their ready when the long fuzzy tails start to pop out from the top of the pod.
